With ES download manager you can download videos from facebook/youtube
Steps are:
1. You can login facebook/youtube from inside ES by pressing new on homepage and input the address or you can press its icon on homepage directly
2. Open a video and press the get full screen button
3. press on the video to get the download button
In ES you can long press file and select encrypt to set a password to it
To decrypt you can press it and input password.
Once decrypted the file won’t be encrypted automatically you should encrypt it manually you can check “use same password for next encryption” so that next time you want to encrypt it you don’t need to set a password again.
Please notice that: ES have no server to keep your password for protecting your privacy.
If you forgot it you can just keep trying
Long pressing file/folders and select hide from toolbar you can add them to hide list
From left sidebar→tools→hide list you can find and manage your hidden files
Android system regard file name start with “.” as hidden file, enable Show Hidden Files from left sidebar →tools you can see them
Password Protection can protect your network resources in a more convenient way
Concrete steps are
Settings of ES → Password settings → Turn on network protection
After setting a password, every time you access remote file you can just input the password you set.
You can also set a start password from there after that you need to input a password to start ES
If you forgot your password you can try uninstalling and reinstalling.
You can range select files and press rename to batch rename them at one time.
After selecting files you can drag and drop to do send/delete/share/copy operations
1.Long pressing files/folders in ES and press add to desktop on toolbar you can add desktop shortcut
2.From left sidebar you can long press SD card analyst, Music player, Home, App and select add to desktop
Slide toolbar from right to left you can get window manager page where you can create new window, close current window and manage default window
You can also manage it from settings→window settings
From settings→display setting you can select check show select button, show windows button and show the name on toolbar.
On homepage you can long press everything on tools and bookmarks area to edit.
Pressing on address bar you can view and clear history
From settings→cleanup settings you can select “clean history on exit”
From left sidebar →tools you can enable “show icon on folder”
If you found some folder haven’t associate with app automatically you can do it manually by long pressing the folder→associate app to select any app installed on your device.
You can create gesture to do operations
Steps are
1. Press gesture from left side bar
2. Press add a gesture
3. Select action
4. Draw a gesture
Next time you can click the gesture water drop to draw a gesture to do the operation
You can view file by category(image , audio, video, app, document) from homepage
You can also open fast access →library to view files by category
There are to ways you can get fast access: press the button to the left of address bar or slide toolbar from left to right
Pressing on file you can select app to open it
In ES Image viewer by pressing the menu button on top right you can do operations as shown in screenshot.
you can also search network resources according to file name or resolution by pressing the search button.
Besides you can view images in chromecast by pressing the chromecast button
In ES Music player you can do operations as shown in screenshot.
Pressing the search icon on the cover image you can search network resources
Slide screen from right to left you can get playlist page where you can change music order by pressing the button under music name and save playlist by pressing menu button on top right. By long pressing music you can manage it. You can open audio via chromecast by pressing chromecast button.
From left sidebar→tools you can long press music player →add to desktop to make a widget of music player.
In ES Video player you can do operations as shown in screenshot. By pressing search button you can search network resources besides you can view video via chromecast by pressing chromecast button.
It uses system codec in current version, so that it supports the same formats as which system supports. You might try other player if it doesn't play the format.
If you have chromecast device you can view media file via chromecast with ES
Steps are
1. put your android device(4.0+system required) and chromecast device in the same wifi and make sure your devices have access to Google service
2. long press media files and select chromecast on toolbar
3. follow the guide to download chromecast plug-in and begin to scan devices
4. select your device to play on it
5. while playing you can switch to local and use the control on notification to control it
You can make a backup of all your settings in ES File explorer
After you set up all you needs
you can go to settings→Backup Settings→Backup
so that you can just use Restore settings to get all your configure back easily
You need root permission to backup app data Steps are:
1. Enable root explorer from left sidebar → tools→root explorer
2. Go to settings of ES → app →check backup data
3. From homepage → app → select app →backup
To restore app data you should go to app manager→press address bar to switch to backed-up apps→press the app you have backed up →install with cached data
From left sidebar→tools →sdcard analyst you can see the total disk capacity, the shared of capacity and the rest of capacity.
Long pressing on files/folders you can delete it, pressing on address bar you can switch to ext-sdcard.
From left sidebar →recycle bin you can enable recycle bin in ES, pressing on it you can go to recycle bin page.
Long pressing on its content you can see Delete Restore or check their properties
